Obtaining a Zoning Compliance Permit
A Zoning Compliance Permit is required to obtain either a Building Permit from the Building Department, or a Business License from the Business License Department. The Zoning Compliance Permit ensures that the activity or building proposed for a particular location is a use that is permitted in that zoning district and meets the requirements of the zoning ordinance, which is called the Unified Development Ordinance. The Zoning Compliance Permit Application below is used for new construction, alterations to existing buildings, or signage. The Business License and Use Zoning Compliance Application below is for new or relocated businesses.
