Grand Opening Ceremony Planned for Fire Station #6 on March 31, 2022

FLORENCE, SC –   The City of Florence will hold a Grand Opening Ceremony for Fire Station #6 on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 4:00pm.  The public is invited to attend.  The ceremony will take place at 860 Smith Drive, and parking is available next door at Carolina Bank (3037 W. Palmetto Street) as space at the new station is limited. 

The location for the new station was strategically chosen to accommodate growth on the west side of Florence. Construction was completed by Hogan Construction Group, LLC for $2.25 Million and features a two-bay station that will house an engine company with four personnel assigned.  The station will also contain the Fire Department’s Logistics Warehouse which includes a warehouse and office area.  City of Florence Fire Chief Tanner said, “We are excited about the new station and the ability it provides for the Fire Department to meet the needs of the community and better serve the citizens of Florence.”
