Grand Opening Ceremony Planned for Fire Station #4 on April 14, 2022

FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence will hold a Grand Opening Ceremony for Fire Station #4 on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 4:00pm. The public is invited to attend. The ceremony will take place at 2224 W. Jody Road.

Station #4 was originally located on W. Palmetto Street but is now positioned just off Hoffmeyer Road on Jody Road. Construction was completed by Hogan Construction Group, LLC for $2.4 Million and features a three-bay station that will house an engine company, and a reserve apparatus with four personnel assigned. The station was designed to provide the opportunity for expansion to accommodate additional apparatus and personnel for future growth.

City of Florence City Manager, Randy Osterman stated, “I commend the foresight of City Council to approve budgeting which funded a new station that is designed for future development to meet the growth needs of the Florence community. Maintaining timely public safety response for our residents is of upmost importance and we want to ensure we are properly prepared to continue this same level of service.”
