Scheduled Water Service Maintenance Beginning Wednesday, September 25^th at 9:00 PM

FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence would like to notify customers of scheduled maintenance along Old Marion Highway at Ashby Road, starting Wednesday, September 25, at 9:00 pm, and along North Williston Road, starting Thursday, September 26, at 9:00 pm. Affected customers in these areas may experience low water pressure or service disruptions during these times as necessary maintenance is conducted (see attached maps for affected areas).

On Wednesday, September 25, beginning at 9:00 pm, a contractor will connect new water lines to an existing 30-inch water main at Old Marion Highway and Ashby Road. This work will require isolating a section of the water main between Old Marion Highway at Ashby Road and North Williamson, which may result in reduced water pressure or temporary service disruptions for City of Florence water customers in the 1500 – 1700 blocks of East Old Marion Highway. Service is expected to return to normal approximately 6 hours after the work begins.

Additionally, on Thursday, September 26 starting at 9:00 pm, a contractor will perform similar work along North Williston Road, connecting new lines to a 30-inch water main. This will require isolating a section of the water main, potentially affecting water pressure, or causing temporary service disruptions for City of Florence water customers in the 700 – 1800 blocks of North Williston Road. Service is expected to return to normal approximately 6 hours after the work begins.
