Street Closure Scheduled on CSX Bridge on E. Palmetto St. from April 16-18, 2024, between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm.

FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence received notice from Southern Commercial Development that the CSX Bridge on East Palmetto St. will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, April 16th through Thursday, April 18th, 2024 from the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The closure will allow for the replacement of the bridge ties in the railroad trellis that runs over US76 in front of McLeod Regional Medical Center.
Southern Commercial Development (SCD) will be responsible for implementing all traffic control.
The attached map indicates where the scheduled work will occur. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes to avoid this area if possible. If you must travel through the work zone, we urge caution and adherence to all posted detours and traffic instructions to ensure everyone’s safety.
