Bee City Takeover
In celebration of National Pollinators Week, the City of Florence Bee City Committee will be hosting a Bee City Takeover of the City Center Farmers Market. The whole family is invited to come out to meet local beekeepers, make an eco-friendly craft, shop for local honey and plants, and learn more about protecting pollinators. Don’t forget to also browse the local farm, artisan, and producer vendors that are part of the City Center Farmers Market. Admission to the City Center Farmers Market and Bee City event is FREE.

The City of Florence is Committed to Protecting Local Pollinators
The City of Florence was designated as a Bee City USA affiliate after the City council members approved a resolution in 2019. Florence joins only four other communities and campuses in the state as Bee City affiliates.
The Bee City USA program endorses a set of commitments, defined in a resolution, for creating sustainable habitats for pollinators, which are vital to feeding the planet. Incorporated cities, towns, counties and communities across America are invited to make these commitments and become certified as a Bee City USA affiliate.
