Adult Softball League Information Freedom Florence Adult Freedom Florence offers eight (8) different leagues for the adults who are interested in playing softball. We offer leagues for the women, men, and coed teams. Open teams are those that have no restrictions as to who may play. Welcome to another season of adult softball! The City of Florence Parks and Leisure Services would like to thank you for your interest and participation in our Adult Softball Program. Registration will run from February 9- March 6. The team registration fee is $400.00 This can be done at City of Florence Parks and Leisure Services Administrative Offices located at 513 Barnes Street between the hours of 8:30am- 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. We will begin league play on April 6. Game times will be at 7:00 pm, 8:00pm, and 9:00pm, Monday through Thursday. The dead line for the team fees is March 6. If a team has not paid in full by this date that team will not be allowed to participate (no matter how many years of participation). Individuals on a team that living outside Florence County is subject to a $20.00 non-resident fee which must be paid before March 20. Any player who is subject to the non-resident fee will not be allowed on the playing field until his or her fee has been paid. Also, all team rosters and medical waivers must be turned in by March 20. Fees should be returned to the City of Florence Parks and Leisure Services Administrative Offices located at 513 Barnes Street between the hours of 8:30am- 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Practice will begin on March 16. Practice times will be at 7:00pm, 8:00pm, and 9:00pm. Monday through Thursday. Each team will be allowed two practice times per week. Teams may not schedule the same time for both practice slots during the same week. Only paid teams are allowed to schedule practice times. Rosters will be frozen after the first two weeks of the season (April 17); therefore you may not make and roster changes after that point. The leagues will be governed by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), expect where by-law rules take precedence. Each team will receive a copy of the by-laws. There will be no tobacco, alcohol, weapons or illegal drug products permitted on the grounds at any time. Again, we thank you for your participation in the City of Florence’s Adult Softball League.
