| FUEL STORAGE TANK REGULATIONS A permit and plan review by the City of Florence Fire Department is required for the installation, removal, or modification of all above ground and underground fuel storage systems within the City of Florence. This regulation includes standard fuels such as gasoline, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas. Applicants must also apply for a permit with the Codes Enforcement Department before proceeding with the work. To apply for a City of Florence Fire Department permit, you must submit a completed application along with a site plan, the manufacturer's product listing sheets, and environmental paperwork. All plans must be submitted to the State Fire Marshal for approval prior to installation. Approval must be obtained from the State Fire Marshal's Office prior to final approval given by local authorities.
