Notification to Applicants Regarding Driving Record All candidates eligible for full-time or part-time (permanent) employment will be required to have a current license and obtain, at the candidate’s expense, an official, original 10-year driving record from the highway department(s) of each state in which the applicant held a driver’s license during the last 10 years. (The applicant will be notified by the Human Resources Department when this document is needed.) An applicant will not be eligible for employment if his/her driving record includes any of the following:
Reminder: The category on your application form requesting information regarding “convictions” refers to both criminal and moving traffic citations (e.g., speeding, DUI, DUS). Be sure to include all appropriate information. If additional space is needed, write the information on a separate sheet of paper and attach it to your application. TestingApplicants for positions requiring skills assessment will be scheduled for the assessment at a time convenient for both the applicant and the City. If the applicant is unable to attend the scheduled appointment, he/she is responsible for notifying the Human Resources Dept. (843-665-3158) in advance of the appointment time. An applicant who provides advance notice will be given the opportunity to reschedule. Failure to provide proper notification will result in the application being placed in the inactive status.
