Driving Records

Candidates eligible for full-time or part-time (permanent) employment may be required to have a current license and obtain, at the candidate’s expense, an official, original 10-year driving record from the highway department(s) of each state in which the applicant held a driver’s license during the last 10 years. The applicant will be notified by the Human Resources Division if this document is needed.

Testing

Applicants for positions requiring skills assessment will be scheduled for the assessment at a time convenient for both the applicant and the City. If the applicant is unable to attend the scheduled appointment, he/she is responsible for notifying the Human Resources Division (843-665-3158) in advance of the appointment time. An applicant who provides advance notice will be given the opportunity to reschedule. Failure to provide proper notification will result in the application being placed in the inactive status.
